I wonder if CB’s desire for WAG status will cause her to be viewed by the Producer as a bit of a nuisance, or is it a case of all publicity is good.?

Does the recent apology herald the arrival of a new improved TOS? I hope so because there is a definite need for an early evening magazine show.

By the way, remember that we can drift off topic as far as we wish.

This way to TOS

Most wags are not viewed as being people of great authority and I for one fear for her happiness.

I note with interest that two other players have injuctions in place and these may be lifted as well. That'll be interesting! The internet is awash with suggestions.

If he turns out to be another Terry, she is going to look very stupid.

  2. astroplums, Your 1734,

It seems a shame. I have no dislike for CB. I think she has the talent to be a good presenter. But then, who knows, she might be in love.

Apart from the European & World Cups, I don't follow football. I see the players being interviewed on TV from time to time but I find it difficult to follow what they are saying. Is Frank Lampard one of those few players who can actually string a sentence together?

  3. I am no expert on footballers and don't have any interest in the game, but if what you read is to be believed Lampard has all the commitment of a randy tom cat, but everyone is capable of change. Being absolutely blunt Ms Bleakley is not exactly constant in her lovelife, so all change may be the order of the day. As we speak the owl in the header photo is screaming her flipping head off!

He could hardly be described as one having a great command of the English language.

  5. Love the blurb for tonights show re piece about crosswords: -

Clue "those he now worked out for factual feast" (3, 3, 4).

    Answer is: "The One Show"

    Oh Really

  6. good evening all.

A lack lustre show tonight in my opinion. AC garbled and strangled his words during an attempt to speak without the aid of autocue. CB looked as if she was joining AC with the dishevelled look, or maybe she had stayed over with fat lumpard this weekend.

  7. Astroplums, your 1854:

Yes I thought that 'factual feast' was feasting on the hyperbole.

Agree, think your comments should be on the TOS blog

She may well have stayed over with the lumpy one at the weekend.

Have fashions changed and skirts getting longer? The minis seem to have disappeared of late with CB. Could be old Frank, he doesn't like other guys ogling his crumpet. My spies tell me he's a bit insecure. If she starts wearing a burqa, you'll know I was right.

Loved the vision of the burqa.

  11. astroplums, once you have sold your wares, you can ease off the advertising, hence the longer skirts maybe! Did I watch the right show tonight, apparently it was much better than of late??

I had to think of that one for a moment. You mean once the bait is taken...Mmmmmm! I'm learning.

    Tonights show was TOS Lite.

  13. I am just amazed that no-one offered to throw AC from the London eye to see if he could outstrip the falcon. I would have suggested Blackpool Tower as a venue for the experiment, but the Southerners would never have found their way there!

Love your stuff tonight - on both sides.

  15. Thank you astroplums, here to please, that's me, lol. I have some new meds, and I think they may be taking hold, I just laughed at one of dutchblogs jokes, bless him.

Just caught up with last nights TOS blog, you certainly livened it up with justified and well constructed criticism.

Is it just me, or is AC struggling to construct a sentence with more that three words. His wild gesticulating increases whilst he struggles to be coherent.

Red cross food parcel arrived home safely.

  17. I get the impression that AC has lost interest and given up. He has the hallmarks of a timeserver. If he had talent he could fake an interest and thereby help the show along. He has difficulty seeing the autocue and the script that is balanced on his knee. He is best suited to radio.

  18. Love Len West's 70 & 71 on TOS

  19. danedweller, glad to hear your treats arrived safely, AC was much worse than usual last night, I wonder why he bothered to turn up!
JH, radio would be my preference, as I very rarely listen to it!
    astroplums, Len at his best!

  20. Did anyone watch the Dimbleby Lecture last night?

No, switched off when I saw that Tony Robinson.

  22. Amazed that some of the posts on TOS are still standing.

  23. Give it time astroplums, the fickle finger of fate may be reaching for the complaint clicker even as we speak. I find TR intensely irritating, which is why I didn't watch the lecture. A shame as it covered a subject I am interested in.

Re your lovely comments in that post, I draw your attention to the sad empty world og wags, at odds with your goodself, and suggest you go to the Daily Mail online and read "don't envy wags". Ther bit about showing legs is hysterical.

  25. Not long back in. Just had look at TOS posts.

Strange how some one-off posters do not seem to read any other posts - so out of sync with everything going on.

  26. astroplums, have just read the article, my god, what a joyless existence these girls sign up for. Can there be a moment of joy in their lives, and can a hundred pairs of shoes, a few £1000 designer handbags, and your name in lights for a couple of years really be worth it.The hot breath of the latest model must be permanently on the back of their necks. The modern day tragedy of the need for fame amazes me.
