I like this photo. It was taken in Australia by my daughter. [Click on photo to enlarge]

I fell into a dispute with Flunklumpard and Len West on TOSblog. They were defending a TOS error of fact by saying that the error did not matter. I was disappointed because I normally respect what this pair have to say. Jadedoldie also got stuck in.

  1. I am still stuck in JH, Len West is not good at taking criticism, and is losing his sharper edge! I am surprised and disappointed.

  2. There is an APOLOGY on TOSblog from Lynne whatserface, Deputy editor, excusing themselves for last night's mistake!!!!!!

  3. jadedoldie, I have just seen the apology. I am sure it is the first. This bodes well for TOS. Do they have the new producer yet.

  4. I don't recall having seen another JH, perhaps they feel the chill wind of change blowing around their nether regions. It wasn't even the usual patronising comment from Melanie or Host Officious! I have been unable to discover when the new producer takes the reins.

  5. Is it just me but CB declaring 'we love (guest name)' every evening is getting a little bit tedious. Last night she 'loved Jimmy Greaves' 3 times.

Yes, she (CB) does keep saying that. A bit repetitive and overbubbly.

I thought the apologoy byLynne, the deputy editor was an honest, straightforward one and should be given credit for it.

  7. If the BBC's research standards on something as simple as Hurricanes and Spitfires, is peppered with film inaccuracies, how can they be trusted to produce information on more important issues.

One good thing has come out of the debacle last night, it reveales that somebody from the TOS team does actually read the blogs!!!

  8. I think I enjoyed the show tonight. Is it me or is TOS getting better? Though much of it was down to Ricky Gervais. Also, I am still reeling from Lynne's surprise apology.

One swallow does not make a summer.

  9. astroplums, Your 1939, I agree. I think this bodes well for TOS.

  10. Danedweller, CB is obviously a very affectionate young woman, her ability to love everyone is becoming legendary, lol. Ricky Gervais amused me tonight, the first time I have enjoyed his performance. It was delightfully tongue in cheek and quite bitchy. Jay Rayner, the self styled wine critic is truly his mother's son.

  11. TOS blog is dying.

Surely the eds cannot want this lack of interest in the show.

  12. astroplums, the life support machine is in danger of imploding, do you think Lynne's apology while welcome and seemingly genuine, could have been provoked by the outbreak of apathy evident in the number and quality of bloggers?
Danedweller, I assume you are too busy feasting on your goodie parcel to comment tonight, lol.

  13. The photos on cornwallcam today are of the beach where Rob, Dog and I have spent more hours than I care to think of. It is privately owned and therefore not developed with cafes and toilet blocks, and all the more beautiful for that!

  14. jadedoldie, Your 1502,

I have placed a link to 'cornwallcam' at the bottom of the page.

  17. Have astroplums and danedweller eloped?

  18. Jaded & JH

I have had serious problems trying to sign in to blog and left cryptic message on TOS - so no need to respond to it JH.

Oh! Jaded, why can't I elope with her? She could have all the conumdrums she wanted.

  20. Flunklumpard queried TOS as to why Thursdays edition (With Jimmy Greaves & McKenna). I wanted to see that programme in full as I missed bits of it, but find that for some obscure reason it is unavailable.

Reading the press today it seems that CB continues her very silly stage managed romance with her Chelsea player being in the studio. I wonder if he was caught in the rent - a crowd scenes and the edition has been pulled Maybe the garbage about his team-mate has had a worrying effect - Lampard history is hardly that of the sweetest boy on the block.

Should have read: ..." as to why Thursday's edition was pulled from iPlayer...

  22. astroplums, Your 1204,

Ah, the plot thickens. Seems that CB has chosen to tread the twisted path of just being a so called celebrity. Well, it beats working for a living.

  23. I now declare myself officially old, the thought of gaining fame by promoting one's self as the latest in a string of paramours is so alien to me!!!

  24. None of my ex girlfriends has ever become famous through her association with me. Where did I go wrong, I wonder. I fear it is too late for me to take lessons in football skills.

  25. JH, are you able to spit indiscriminately, can you brawl in the street, do you delight in cuckolding your friends? I am prepared to bet the answer to all these questions is no, therefore you are never going to be a footbsller.
