You'll be delighted to note that your favourite presenter has his new show tonight on ITV at 1015.

    There's no stopping him.

We should be worried as to what ITV will do with Renata, further to her work on Daybreak.

  2. Yes, I noticed. It has a an odd selection of guests for a current affairs show: Alistair Campbell and Louis Walsh.

  3. Well, AC is certainly better on his evening show than early doors.

  4. I haven't had the chance to see it yet.

  5. Must say that TOS is now becoming easy viewing. The contentious issues and left wing bias seem to have disappeared. Mind you Lady Ginster may change all that.

  6. That's just what I was thinking. TOS is informative, interesting and easy viewing and ideal for that time slot. I hope they keep the silly lefties bias out of it.

  7. That just doesn't work with Alexander Armstrong. Not a great show tonight. Keanu Reeves must have wondered where he was. Mind you he was boring.

  8. Heard it all now, TOS guests and presenters being holier than thou about Andy Gray's sacking. Can they not remember the name Carole Thatcher,as if I am not mistaken she was VERY much "off air" when her comment was made!!!!!!!

You're absolutely right. But remember it is the BBC and it is hideously PC.

  10. A young man gently wakens his wife in the early morning, "Darling" he whispered, "would you prefer sex or coffee?", she replied tersely "Doesn't really matter, whichever I choose it will be instant!"

  11. Jaded,

Nice to see you are still in fine form.

  12. Must say that my initial reaction to Chris Evans was a mistaken one. I do think he enlivens TOS greatly and brings AJ out of her shell. Good light hearted fun tonight.

  13. astro, I agree 100% about Chris Evans, I was dreading his addition to the show, but far from being the crass bombast I remember, he is amusing, easy to listen too and a reminder that with years and experience comes the knowledge that one person is never the centre of the universe, lol.

  14. My views on Chris Evans are similar to yours, jadedoldie and astroplums. The show runs smoothly with him at the helm.

  15. I assumed that the cold weather of this winter would have killed off the reptiles, but no, once again the BBC allow one of their own in the shape of Alistair Campbell to slither on to our screen!!!!

  16. jadedoldie, In essence I agree. But there is another way to look at this. In his time at No10 Campbell made many enemies. People in the media were afraid of him. But now that he is stripped of his power the wolves may be surrounding him for the kill. He has been given a hard time by some interviewers of late. Though I suspect he will be safe on TOS. However, Chris Evans may not play ball with any producer that wishes to give Campbell an easy ride.

Campbell has problems. He will get his comeuppance.

  17. JH, from your mouth to God's ears, I cannot imagine CE toeing the BBC line with regard to Campbell's comfort either!!!! Personally I do not believe he was ever fit to be discharged from pyschiatric care when he was receiving it [Campbell that is]. Power to the wolves.
