TOS is off back down hill.

Pauline Prescott I have been enjoying TOS of late; and then we get patronising Pauline Prescott droning on in a dull, flat monotone which made even Adrian Chiles sound animated.

What qualification does she have for the job? None as far as I can see. She is certainly no autocutie. It is clearly jobs for the boys. That rancid cabal of lefties at the BBC have once more sunk their claws into what was otherwise a good programme.

Back downhill for TOS. Anyone with any talent should be prepared to abandon ship to save their careers.

It was going quite nicely until fatboy's missus bowled up. Heavily biased indeed. Hopefully she wont be on that often.

  3. Hello Don,

I'm from Ramsgate, as you probably know.

Now, we need to know what Michael thinks of Pauline on TOS.

  4. Astroplums,

I've got a terrible feeling that she is here to stay. She has friends in low places.

  5. Astroplums,

To explain my reference above to Michael: Michael runs a blog in our area in which he savages the local council. He does this with just cause and knowledge of his subject. However, I don't think the council like him very much.

  6. dandweller and jadedoldie are silent to night. Are we to interpret their silence as approval for Lady Ginster's performance?

  7. NO, No, and NO again JH, send her back to the hair salon for a top-up of hairspray, that's what she does best!!!

  8. Jadedoldie,

What Lady Ginster needs is surgery to reverse her brain bypass. As a performer she comes across as dull as ditch water. Or maybe she was merely tired and emotional. This would not be surprising bearing in mind his lordships taste for discussing ugandan affairs with his staff.

  9. JH, this woman has no shame, she has overlooked public humiliation over her husbands extra-marital flings [for God's sake who would wish to be mounted by that blubberous idiot]all in the name of becoming Lady Prescott. Uninspiring, boring while at the same time saccharinely patronising just about describes her debut. What are the production team on? As you have pointed out on many occasions, they have been doing soooo well. I was amazed to discover how Chris Evans has developed over the years, at times he is amusing, at others empathetic, but usually, despite my worst imaginings, entertaining.

On a personal note, the weather has finally got to me, I am informed by Loveday that the frost has killed off the fresh mint, and the shoulder of hogget tonight will be accompanied by reconstituted mint sauce. I am horrified!!!!!

  10. Jadedoldie,
What I admire about Chris Evans is his ability to take control of the show, but not hog the stage, his ability to think on his feet and keep the show moving along and alive. He is a consummate professional.

Whereas Lady Ginster just has friends in low places. I fear we may be seeing more of her plus others of her ilk.

Oh yes, I nearly forgot. She also gave away her first child because she did not have time for him. I believe that tells us all we need to know about her ladyship.

Agree with most of what you say about Evans. He is an entertainer as well as a presenter, although he can be a bit overpowering at times.

That apart, I do now enjoy him on TOS.
